Beware of the Many Anti-Yahshua in the World!

The Many Anti-Messiahs in the World: A Wake-Up Call for All Faithfuls to Stay True to the Savior’s Gospel

On this podcast episode, I’ll admonish to beware of the many anti-Yahshua in the world: a wake-up call for All the faithful to stay true to the Bible Gospel of the Savior of humanity, Yahshua the Messiah.

Welcome back to educational podcast, the podcast where we dig deep into the Word of Yahweh to uncover the realities of true faith in a world full of deception. I’m your host, Elder Dan. Today, we’re diving into a topic that’s both sobering and urgent. It’s something the Apostle John warned us about nearly 2,000 years ago, and it’s just as relevant today. We’re talking about the anti-messiahs—yes, plural—already in the world. Buckle up, because this is going to be a wake-up call. Let’s get started.

In 1 John 2:18, the Apostle John drops a bombshell. He writes, “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the anti-messiah is coming, even now many anti-messiahs have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.” Did you catch that? Not one anti-messiah, but many! And they were already in the world in John’s time. So, what does this mean for us today? Who are these anti-messiahs, and how do we spot them? More importantly, how do we protect ourselves from their deception?

Let’s break it down. John isn’t talking about some cartoonish villain with a pitchfork or a single, apocalyptic figure—though, yes, the Bible does speak of a final anti-messiah in other biblical passages. Here, John’s focus is broader and more immediate. An anti-Messiah, at its core, is anyone who opposes Yahshua the Messiah, denies His teachings, or leads people away from the truth of who Yahshua is and what He taught. And here’s the kicker: John says these anti-messiah were already among the early believers, creeping into the Church, spreading false ideas, and causing confusion.

So, who qualifies as an anti-messiah? Let’s get very specific, shall we? According to John, and the broader New Testament, an anti-messiah is anyone who rejects the core truths about Yahshua the Messiah—that He is the Son of Yahweh, the Almighty Father in heaven, fully divine and fully human, who came in the flesh, died for our sins, and rose again. But it’s not just about denying Yahshua with words. It’s also about actions. Yahshua Himself said in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commands.” So, anyone who claims to follow Yahshua but lives in a way that contradicts His teachings is actually opposing Him. Yes, they’re anti-Messiah in their behavior!

Think about that for a second. This isn’t just about some far-off boogeyman. This could be the charismatic preacher who twists the Bible to justify greed or immorality. It could be the influencer who claims to be “spiritual” but denies the exclusivity of Yahshua the Messiah as the way, the truth, and the life. It could even be someone in your own church who professes faith but lives in unrepentant sin, leading others astray. These are the anti-messiahs John’s talking about—people who, knowingly or not, are pulling others away from the pure, unadulterated truth of the holy Scripture.

Now, let’s bring this home. Don’t forget that Savior Yahshua didn’t just leave us a set of nice ideas; He gave us a way of life. He taught His apostles how to live, how to love, how to forgive, and how to stand firm in the face of a world that hates the truth. The early Church, as we see in Acts, was marked by radical devotion to Yahshua’s teachings, to fellowship, to prayer, and to sharing the Gospel. They didn’t just talk the talk; they walked the walk. So, when John warns about anti-messiahs, he’s pointing to people who deviate from that original blueprint.

Here’s where it gets real. If someone claims to represent Yahshua but their life or teaching doesn’t line up with what He practiced and taught His original apostles, they’re not just mistaken—they’re dangerous! They’re anti-messiahs in the sense that they’re actively working against Yahshua’s mission! And John’s warning is clear: these people are already here, and they’re not always easy to spot. They might sound convincing. They might have a big following. They might even perform miracles. But if their message or lifestyle contradicts the Yahshua of the Bible, they’re leading people into deception!

So, what do we do about this? How do we avoid being deceived? The Bible gives us three key instructions: be sober, be vigilant, and stay rooted in the truth. First Peter 5:8 says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” That’s not just about Satan himself—it’s about the false teachers and deceivers he uses to spread lies. So yes, we need to stay sharp, testing every teaching against Scripture, just like the Bereans did in Acts 17.

Second, we need to stay away from false preachers. The Apostle Paul warns in 2 Corinthians 11 about those who masquerade as “apostles of Yahshua” but are really servants of Satan. If a preacher’s life or message doesn’t align with Yahshua’s teachings, don’t just shrug it off—run the other way! Your soul is too precious to gamble with.

Finally, cling to the truth. The Apostle John says in 1 John 2:24, “As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you.” That means sticking to the Gospel as it was delivered by Yahshua and His original apostles, not chasing after trendy new interpretations or watered-down versions of Christianity and other religious groups. Read the Bible for yourself. Pray for discernment. Surround yourself with genuine believers and followers who are committed to the real Yahshua, not a counterfeit!

Friends, the reality of many anti-messiahs in the world isn’t meant to scare us—it’s meant to wake us up! Yahshua promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church, and that includes the schemes of false preachers. But we have a responsibility to stay vigilant, to guard our hearts, and to hold fast to the truth. The anti-messiahs may be many, but our Savior is much greater. Yes, Yahshua the Messiah is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can snatch us out of His hand if we stay rooted in Him.

So, here’s my big and firm challenge to our listeners and readers out there: Take a hard and thorough look at the voices you’re listening to! The preachers, the influencers, the religious leaders in your life—are they pointing you to the Yahshua of the Bible, or to something else? Yes, be bold enough to ask tough questions, and don’t be afraid to walk away from anything or anyone that doesn’t line up with the biblical truth! Once again, I admonish all of our dearest readers and listeners out there to beware of the many anti-Yahshua in the world!

Our Sacred Duty to Preach the True Gospel

All of us in the body of Yahshua the Messiah have a sacred duty to preach the true gospel of the Bible

Hello. Welcome back to the educational podcast. Today, I’ll be talking about keeping the faith: the sacred duty to preach the true Gospel. I’m Elder Dan, your host.

Yes, on this sermon, I’m diving deep into a topic that stirs the spirit and challenges the heart – the duty of every true follower of Messiah Yahshua to uphold and preach the authentic gospel. This isn’t just about sharing faith; it’s about safeguarding the very essence of the Messiah’s teachings as described in the Bible, particularly in Galatians 1:8 and 2 Corinthians 11:4.

Understanding Our Mission

First off, let’s set the stage with Galatians 1:8. Paul writes, “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under Elohim’s curse!” Here, Paul isn’t just throwing words around; he’s highlighting a critical mission for every believer. The gospel – the good news of Messiah Yahshua – isn’t something to be tampered with or altered. It’s a sacred trust handed down through generations, unchanged and unblemished.

Think about it!

If we’re followers of Yahshua the Messiah, we’re also guardians of His message. This isn’t about gatekeeping or exclusivity; it’s about fidelity to the truth that has the power to transform lives.

The Warning Against False Gospels

Now, let’s pivot to 2 Corinthians 11:4 where Paul expresses his concern over the Corinthians being led astray: He said, “For if someone comes and proclaims another Yahshua than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.”

Here, Paul is essentially sounding the alarm. He’s saying, “Watch out! Don’t just accept any new teaching because it sounds good or feels new.” The gospel isn’t a buffet where you pick what suits your taste or current cultural trends. It’s a complete meal, perfectly prepared by Yahshua the Messiah, with all the nutrients of truth, grace, and salvation.

Why It Matters

You might wonder, in a world where everyone seems to have their own truth, why stick so firmly to this ancient message? Here’s why:

  1. Identity and Purpose: The gospel gives us our identity as children of the Almighty Yahweh and our purpose in this world. Altering it changes who we are and why we’re here.
  2. Unity in Diversity: While spirituality has various expressions, the core message unites believers across cultures, languages, and times. A different gospel fragments what Yahshua intended to unify.
  3. Eternal Consequences: Paul wasn’t just being dramatic about being under a curse. The implications of spreading or accepting a false gospel are serious, with eternal ramifications for souls.

Our Role as Believers and Followers of Yahshua Messiah

So, what does this mean for us today?

  • Educate: Know the gospel inside out. Understand the life, death, and resurrection of Yahshua. Dive deep into Scripture, not just for personal growth but to ensure what you share is true.
  • Engage: Engage with those who might have strayed or never heard the true gospel. This isn’t about confrontation but about conversation, about sharing the love and truth of Yahshua with wisdom and grace.
  • Encourage: Encourage your community to hold fast to the teachings of the Bible. Foster environments where questioning and learning are welcomed, but where the foundation remains the unaltered word of Yahweh.

In essence, preaching the true gospel isn’t just about evangelism; it’s an act of worship, a declaration of allegiance to Messiah, and a service to humanity. As followers of Yahshua, we are called not just to believe but to bear witness to the truth that sets people free.

So yes, overall, let’s not take this sacred duty lightly. Let’s be vigilant, let’s be loving, and let’s be unyieldingly committed to the gospel that Paul, the early church, and countless believers through the ages have held as the ultimate truth.
